I am just getting SO excited for the holiday season ahead! If you know me at ALL...you know I love everything Christmas! :o)
The message today was on JOY! Perfect segway into the CHRISTmas spirit! Pastor Bob started singing this little diddy...and people could not help but sing along:
In his message, Pastor Bob explained the difference between happiness and joy.
Happiness comes from something HAPPening...which is directly related to circumstance. Whereas joy comes from the Greek word chara, which is derived from the same root word charis (meaning GRACE). Joy is the FRUIT of the spirit inside of each one of us who believes! We have it and it is NOTdependent on circumstance.
You make known to me the path of life;in your presence there is fullness of joy;at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. ~Pslam 16:11.
