ELATED!

So DAY 2 of tracking God’s grace in my life…and I am JUST ELATED! I had some  things I wanted to share from when I was back home in Minnesota, but God did what he does best and blew me away again yesterday …and I MUST share!

My fabulous roommate and I greeted one another yesterday morning with the same message, “Man, was it tough to get up today!” We are both recovering from holiday travel and Christmas excitement, but we both found yesterday morning to be difficult!

As I got into my car headed to Ft. Lauderdale for work track #7 of one of the many awesome cd’s a dear friend continues to make me came on; In the Blink of an Eye by MercyMe. I have always loved the song, but listened to the words much closer this time, and man did they hit me. It seems like a continuation of the conversation God and I were having at the beach in my chair.

LISTEN HERE!:

You put me here for a reason
You have a mission for me
You knew my name and You called it
Long before I learned to breathe

Sometimes I feel disappointed
By the way I spend my time
How can I further Your kingdom
When I'm so wrapped up in mine

In a Blink of an eye that is when
I'll be closer to You than I've ever been
Time will fly, but until then
I'll embrace every moment I'm given
There's a reason I'm alive for a blink of an eye

And though I'm living a good life
Can my life be something great?
I have to answer the question
Before it's too late

Cause in a Blink of an eye that is when
I'll be closer to You than I've ever been
Time will fly, but until then
I'll embrace every moment I'm given
There's a reason I'm alive for a blink of an eye

If I give the very best of me
That becomes my legacy
So tell me what am I waiting for?
What am I waiting for?

In a Blink of an eye that is when
I'll be closer to You than I've ever been
Time will fly, but until then
I'll embrace every moment I'm given
There's a reason I'm alive for a blink of an eye

Well, do I really even need to say that the song really helped me change my bad attitude yesterday morning? I am so thankful that I was able to start the day this way! AND, not to mention the weird looks I got from others watching me belt it out in my car down 95 :o)

AND THE REAL KICKER (as we say in MN):
I received a phone call yesterday that was a definite answer to prayer (and I hate to do this to you) but the details of the answer will not come for another week or so, so PLEASE stay tuned. If you have a moment to spare and would pray for me that whatever it may be, I have clarity that it is in God’s plan, I would really appreciate it!

SO NOW IT’S YOUR TURN: Where have you seen God’s grace in your life today?
